At Verallia, revealing the best in our employees means making concrete and measurable commitments, supported on a daily basis by our teams and business experts. These commitments apply to all profiles and are part of a continuous improvement approach.
Being part of Verallia also means becoming part of a committed international group, which is growing thanks to the motivation and expertise of its employees, driven by a desire for continuous improvement at all levels, to contribute to the responsible transformation of the glass industry.
At Verallia, guaranteeing a safe working environment is an absolute priority. Since 2019, the accident frequency rate (TF2, with or without lost time) has been divided by three. This improvement is based on three key pillars:
These initiatives are complemented by an ambitious ergonomic approach, with the “Zero Handling by Hand” programme, which aims to eliminate manual load carrying by 2026. In 2024, seven plants are already below 30% manual load carrying, and two are close to zero.
In 2024, Verallia reached an important milestone with the drafting and signing of its Diversity and Inclusion Charter. More than a declaration of intent, it sets out concrete commitments: guarantee fair pay, encourage the inclusion of all profiles without distinction, and promote professional equality.
These commitments, expressed at Group level, are deployed locally, taking into account the specific geographical and socio-cultural contexts of each country and each site. The Global Day for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, organised at all our sites, illustrates this local approach.
Verallia is also committed to increasing the proportion of women in management and executive positions. To achieve this, the “Women@Verallia” mentoring programme was launched in 2019 at Group level. Its success has inspired similar initiatives in Italy, Spain and Germany.
At Verallia, each employee is supported to develop their skills and prepare for the glass industry of tomorrow. In 2024, more than 400,000 hours of training were delivered, focusing on safety, quality and production.
The “Imagine” digital platform, launched in 2022, offers personalised content in all the Group’s languages. In 2024, it was enriched with 70 new programmes, used by more than 4,600 employees, including 25% manual workers.
The “Pépinières” programmes allow young graduates to join our sites for 18 months, to receive on-the-job training and quickly move into operational responsibilities.
Finally, the “Verallia One Care” programme aims to guarantee minimum health and pension coverage for all employees, across all sites and for all job categories, by 2030. This is a strong commitment to greater equity and social protection.
