Why a new momentum for our CSR roadmap? Because progress never stops

In 2025, Verallia is entering a new phase of its sustainability journey. After several years of collective progress, the Group has updated its CSR roadmap. It’s not a break from the past; it is a continuation. At Verallia, our ambition is clear: to be the best in glass.

A new chapter, built on insight and impact

2025 marks the end of a first cycle of commitments. It’s a natural moment to pause, reflect, and assess what has been achieved. But it’s also a pivotal year: the double materiality assessment conducted in 2024, aligned with the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive, has helped us sharpen our understanding of our impacts and risks, and refine our priorities.

A clearer structure, a stronger ambition

The updated roadmap is built around three strategic pillars:

  • People commitment: Health, safety, inclusion, and quality of life at work. These topics are central to our performance and our identity as a responsible employer. By placing people first, we affirm that transformation only happens through those who make it possible.
  • Environment : Climate, water, air, waste, soil regeneration — these topics are now gathered under a single, integrated pillar. This holistic approach allows us to better manage interdependencies and reduce our environmental impact.
  • Sustainable growth: Transforming our model means creating value in new ways — through collaboration across our entire value chain. This third pillar brings together our commitments to circularity, eco-design, and responsible partnerships — making sustainability a true driver of competitiveness.
What’s new in practice?
  • Simplified structure: Related topics are grouped for better clarity, while maintaining our full scope and impact.
  • More ambitious targets:
    • Net Zero 2040 trajectory validated by the SBTi in September 2025, which means –90% CO₂ emissions (scopes 1 & 2) by 2040 and offset of the residual 10%  and –90% CO₂ emissions (scope 3) by 2050 and offset of the residual 10%
    • 100% renewable and low-carbon electricity by 2040
    • 100% of employees trained by 2030
    • ~60% external cullet in our production by 2030

This roadmap is not a static document. It’s a living tool. It connects rather than closes. It builds on what exists and takes it further.

A collective ambition, a shared responsibility

At Verallia, we believe sustainability is not a statement. It’s discipline. It’s built step by step, with sincerity, with rigor, and with ambition. We walk the talk – turning words into action, every day.

This new momentum reflects that belief. It holds us accountable. It brings us together. And it prepares us to meet the challenges ahead.

Because re-imagine glass for a sustainable future also means knowing how to reinvent ourselves — again and again.
