The inspiring story of Gloria Martorell, Customer Service Manager at Montblanc site, Spain

What started as a challenge in 1996 has become my life. My passion for glass is part of me – I carry it with me and share it with those around me.

It all started in the Montblanc Town Hall, where I was interviewed for a part-time role as secretary to the construction director of what would become Vidriería de Montblanc – or Videmosa, as we all call it.

Since then, I’ve worn many hats: Secretary of Management, Admin support, even Environmental tasks. I gradually found my path, joining the Commercial Department full-time. I started with small Catalan clients, and now manage key accounts in the Water and Beer market. I’ve come a long way!

This journey transformed me – not only professionally, but personally. I became a mother, got involved in my community, and built lasting friendships. At Verallia, we’ve celebrated weddings, retirements, shared paellas, calçotadas – and sometimes, losses too. But the human brain is smart: it keeps the good memories at the surface.

At Verallia, I found more than skills – I gained confidence and purpose. So when a Workshop Manager position opened up, I applied without hesitation.

Many years have passed, but I’m not done yet. I still have ideas to share, people to support – and yes, many tons of glass to sell. Maybe even make friends with artificial intelligence too.
