Appointment of Verallia France’s new Managing Director

La Défense, May 31, 2018 – Verallia announces the appointment, effective June 11, of Olivier Rousseau as Managing Director of Verallia France. He will replace Emmanuel Auberger and becomes a member of the Group’s executive team.

Born in 1968, Olivier Rousseau began his career in 1991 as management controller within the papermaker La Rochette then Pirelli Cables. In 1996, he joined Goodyear in France then in Morocco and Spain where he held senior management positions. In 2006, he was appointed chairman and CEO of Goodyear Tire and Rubber France. Since 2014, he held the position of Vice-president of the “Consumer” division for the EMEA region (Europe Middle East & Africa).

Olivier Rousseau graduated from the University Paris-Dauphine with a degree in business and finance management.

Olivier Rousseau will ensure the coordination and supervision of the activity of Verallia France SA’s French subsidiaries, namely VOA – Verrerie d’Albi, Saga Décor, la Société Charentaise de Décor, Everglass, Ets René Salomon and Thierry Bergeon Embouteillage (TBE).


With 2,500 employees in France, Verallia is co-leader on the French glass packaging market and n°1 on the still and sparkling wines’ segment. The company, also a leading player on the spirits, soft drinks and jars market, has 11 manufacturing facilities spread over the territory: 

•7 glassmaking plants: Lagnieu (01), Vauxrot (02), Cognac (16), Saint-Romain-Le-Puy (42), Oiry (51), Chalon-sur-Saône (71), VOA – Verrerie d’Albi (81) ; 

•2 décor plants: Saga Décor (60), Société Charentaise de Décor (16) ; 

•2 Everglass household glass processing centres: Rozet-Saint-Albin (02) and Châteaubernard (16). 

Its subsidiary Ets René Salomon (16) is specialized in bottle resorting-repacking, logistics and distribution. As for Thierry Bergeon Embouteillage (TBE), it is specialized in mobile bottling on estates in the Bordeaux winegrowing region.
